Eligibility Criteria

Passed Standard XII (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recognized Board with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% Marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes. Applicants expecting their 12th results may also apply. It is incumbent upon them to furnish proof of securing a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) aggregate marks, or equivalent grades.

Students opting for Honors with Research must earn a 7.5 CGPA and above at the end of Semester-6 and eligibility criteria for the multiple entries would be as per University's Lateral Entry Rules for FYUG Programmes

The full-time programme at SCMC Pune lasts four years and is divided into eight semesters. The Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication is one of the best journalism and mass communication courses after 12th. It is a three-year undergraduate programme that provides students with the technical skills and social understanding needed to write about and convey information to the general public about business, history, culture, budget issues, governmental matters, entertainment, and sports via mass communication mediums such as television, radio, and web-based social networks.

Because the discipline of journalism is founded on truth, autonomy, and transparency, the course gives a comprehensive understanding at both the academic and practical levels. This course focuses on Communication Theories and Models, Public Relations, Design and Graphics, Digital Media, Print Media Reporting and Editing, Radio Production, Data Journalism, Photojournalism, Event Management, and Media Law and Ethics.

Our curriculum includes dynamic theoretical lectures, hands-on practical sessions, tutorials, classroom presentations, and take-home assignments.
