Soft Skills : Along with academic inputs, students are introduced with certain life skills. The focus is mainly on basic communication skills, inter-personal relations, and team spirit. These sessions are supplementary to the Academic Improvement Program. The purpose is to improve students not only academically but to inculcate some of the life skills among them so that they can perform better in the next semester.
Trends in Technology : When one is working with technology, only technical skills are not important. These skills should be supplemented with other sub-skills. The industry is in search of personnel who beside having technical skills are also well versed with other trends in the industry. Experience with computer programs, requirement gathering information, public speaking , analyzing information and demonstrating effective time management are such important trend and students need to be aware of this. The distance learning courses through Coursera, Udemy and other agencies were very helpful in this view.
