SCMC Perspectives
The SCMC Perspectives was envisioned with a view to invite academically renowned researchers who would share their expertise on specialized topics. One of the key advantages of SCMC Perspectives is the access it provides to the extensive experience of experts in various research fields. This exposure offers young researchers’ practical insights that go beyond their standard domain of research. This year, Prof. Dr. Krishnamurthy Sriramesh enlightened us with his session on "Conducting Empirical Research and Getting It Published." He enlightened the audience about global PR practices across various sectors, and offered invaluable insights about crisis communication.
SCMC The Chronicle
The Chronicle (chroniclexpress.com) is an experiential academic project from SCMC. It functions as a news website, with daily news updates, original analysis stories and multimedia features on a wide variety of topics, including politics, health, environment, sports, arts, culture, and entertainment. It maintains an active social media presence across social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. It recently published a live discussion on the presentation of the Union Budget 2024 on YouTube, which reieved glowing feedback from industry stakeholders. A student body — the Editorial Board — manages the online platform, which remains open to contributions from students of all batches of SCMC, as well as faculty members and external experts.
SCMC Mamma Mia Musical
The SCMC Student Clubs - Theatre, Dance, Music, Art and Design – proudly presents SCMC’s Mamma Mia Musical, inspired by the 2008 hit jukebox musical based on the songs of pop group ABBA. The production was presented by a Dancing/Performing/Stage Crew of over 140 students, including a LIVE 15-Member Music Ensemble who supported the dance and acting performances. Performing a musical drama is a transformative experience for students, offering a multitude of benefits that extend far beyond the stage. It fosters creativity, allowing students to express themselves through a unique blend of music, dance, and acting. Additionally, students enhance their practical skills, honing their abilities in singing, acting, and dancing, while also gaining insight into the technical aspects of stagecraft.
